Sabina River Farm is privately owned by a local Busselton family
The property has been developed and enhanced over the last 10 years, with the function centre going up in 2021 and completed mid 2023. The function centre has been custom designed by the property owners, and built in large part by them also (literally with their own hands), using some fantastic recycled and upcycled materials;
Jarrah floorboards for the deck are repurposed ceiling rafters from wool stores from WA agricultural properties
The feature metal pipes at the entry are recycled from local mines and industry
All remaining timber has been rescued from land developments (fated to burn in bonfires!), hand-milled and finished on site
Verandah posts from the Busselton Jetty
Jarrah flooring for the main building from various heritage farms across WA
Window frames and stained glass feature windows from the Pagoda Ballroom in Perth
Tin cladding from heritage rural properties around the state
A great deal of thought has been put into the design and layout of the building to make it perfect for wedding, events, and our Sunday Sessions; we can’t wait to share it with you.
